In the 1980s, denim entrepreneur Edwin Faeh began importing and expanding Carhartt to Europe. Ultimately, in 1996, he struck a major deal to manufacture Carhartt branded clothing outside of the United States under the name Carhartt ‘Work In Progress’. The W.I.P. label takes the traditional Carhartt approach to construction and form, and applies it to a range of fashion-oriented garments and accessories, incorporating European-inspired designs with long-standing, renowned styles. Although the tailoring may have downtown in mind, the quality remains pure job site.

The Valiant 4 Tactical Chair is a collaboration between Carhartt WIP and Helinox, a brand specializing in robust, compact furniture since 2009. The chair is constructed from metal and fabric, fits into a backpack when folded, and is suitable for both outdoor and indoor use. Finished with a co-branded label.
